Now

This is my now page1. This is what I'd tell you to catch you up on my life if we hadn’t met in a while. This was last updated <2026-01-26 Mon>

Work

Most of my time at work is spent finalizing a big residential project in Täby, Sweden, that I've been working on for almost two years as Handläggande Arkitekt. A challenging site, an ambitious plan from the municipality and a general downturn in the construction sector have made it a demanding process, but one that will hopefully result in a great project in the end. Here you can read more about Strömmingen.

Other than that I'm also working to help develop and modernize internal systems, from CRM to sustainability tools. Going into 2026 this will also expand to looking at AI tools with chosen partners. I'm always a bit wary of the word "productivity" but I have a hard time keeping away from making things… smoother.

Lastly I'm going into my third straight year as an elected union representative, a trust and an honor I'm very proud of.

Reading

It's such an interesting read. My only critique thus far is that while the subtitle "How the Unseen World of Plant Intelligence Offers a New Understanding of Life on Earth" certainly explains what the book is about, it somewhat diminishes the impact of the main title, which in itself is an eye-opener. I mean, just compare the sentences "I just watered my plants" and "I just watered my light eaters." That title in itself helps me redefine what a plant light eater is.

“Plants made me, after all. Every bundle of muscle in my body was woven from the sugars plants spun from moisture and air. My blood cells that course through my veins like water through rootlets are each kept ruby red with the oxygen plants made. The branching structure of my lungs are suffused with that too. Every inward breath of mine was first breathed out by plants.

Probably my fourth time reading this masterpiece, as a preparation for seeing the new film by Lockshin.

“I don't have any special talents, just an ordinary desire to live like a human being.”

Study and side projects

Since I'm weaning myself off social media, I promised to make myself a space of my own on the Internet, so this page is a personal priority right now.
